Bodegas Saura

The traditional practice of cultivating head-trained bush vines, above all rain-fed, facilitates one of our main objectives, to obtain fresh, natural organic grapes in small bunches, with optimal acidity and moderate alcohol content to give flavours typical of the soil and landscape of Caravaca de la Cruz. The grapes are picked and selected by hand and put into ten-kilo boxes. Then, they are taken from the vineyard to the winery as quickly as possible. All the vineyards are on the same estate.

After some brief clarification, it is bottled unfiltered for final ageing. The result is a wine with intense colour, fine, elegant aromas, fruity, tasty and fleshy on the palate.

There is a time-honoured wine-making tradition among the people of the D.O. Bullas territory, as evidenced by the many traditional wineries in both countryside and urban houses.

The vineyards are found within the Bullas Designation of Origin. A land with a time-honoured relationship with wine, with vestiges of wine production dating back more than 2,600 years.

Monastrell is the local variety that accounts for the majority of this designation. It has medium to large bunches, which are dense and compact due to its great blossom. Its clusters are conical and tight, with small, spherical berries.
