53% Pinot Noir, 44% Chardonnay, and 3% Pinot Gris
ABOUT OUR BRUT
Domaine Carneros Vintage Brut is our great classic cuvée that represents
the best of Carneros Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. For this particular
vintage we also added just a little Pinot Gris.
TASTING NOTES
This very focused and elegant wine displays lovely notes of green apple,
honey dew melon, pear, and lemon zest with a hint of toasted bread . This
round wine displays a palate of macadamia nut, baked apple, and
shortbread that complements the notes from the nose. This is a very
developed wine with a lot of toasty notes.
Our 2017 Brut Cuvée has been aged nearly four years in our cellar to
enhance complexity and development. With proper cellaring, this wine will
develop further for decades, but only if you can wait to open.
SUGGESTED PAIRINGS
Our Brut Cuvée is our most versatile wine for food pairing; as fine with
oysters as it is with filet mignon. Our winemaker particularly loves it with
cheeses or roast chicken.
