The 2019 growing season lent itself to exceptional wines! The vines roused to ample soil moisture and steady spring warming. A nice, steady bud break and fruit set had the vines perfectly balanced headed into summer. The summer season stayed warm throughout giving way to a mild, extended harvest. This is ideal for full maturity of color, fruit, soft tannins, and lengthy structure in the finished wines. A vintage with welcomed bounty and magnificent quality.

The 2019 Trujillo Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is provocative with its rich deep color, enticing with bountiful dark fruit expressions, lavish with its copious well-rounded tannins, and gravitating with complexity and balanced structure. The aromas give way to rousing black cherry, black currant, dark cocoa. The wine is framed with alluring hints of clove, cedar, and peppercorn. The flavors are big and plentiful, flaunting opulent black currant, dark cherry and dark chocolate upfront. On the pallet, the wine seamlessly transpires with elegance and complexity giving way to a rich, velvety, and lengthy finish.
